Project Details

The Road Improvement Works for Junctions and Roundabouts in Various Areas of Greater Doha Phase – 8 was awarded to Boom Construction by the Public Works Authority to a Contract Amount of One Hundred Eight Million Eight Hundred Sixty-Six Thousand One Hundred Ninety-Two Qatari Riyals (Qar 108,866,192.00) with Contract Duration of 540 Days plus 400days Maintenance.

The project works are located in various parts of Greater Doha and Qatar, covering the Qatar Zones 1 to 98 of various Municipalities, and other areas as shown in the map. The works comprise the conversion of various existing roundabouts/Junctions into signalized Junctions, including protection of existing utilities, an inspection of existing traffic signals equipment, liaison with the Utility Departments/Authorities, replacement of old traffic signals equipment, provision, installation, testing, commissioning and maintenance of traffic signal equipment.

The Scope of Works includes the following activities and its estimated quantitates:

Site Clearance, Earthworks, Sub-base, Flexible Surfacing, Kerbing & Footways, Traffic Signs & Road Marking, Traffic Signals, ITS works, Road Lighting, Surface Water Drainage, Electricity works & Ooredoo works.

The Works in this project are to be executed through Work order instructions and on a 24x7 (24 hours a day) work schedule.
