Project Details

This Construction of Flood Prevention Scheme (FPS-Phase 3) for Doha North Areas C850/1 Project was awarded to Boom Construction Company by the Public Works Authority to a Contract amount of Three Hundred Sixty Three million Eight hundred Seventy Eight thousand Ninety Seven Qatari Riyals (QR 363,878,097.40) with project duration of 730 days.

The project C850/1 aims to solve the flooding issues for approximately 97 hotspots in different areas within Doha, Daayen, Rayyan municipalities

The scheme aims to improve the drainage systems to all hotspots including surface runoff and groundwater complain in approximately 300 locations scattered around Qatar.

The Works addressed by the Project comprises design, supply, execution, testing and completion of surface water networks, storage tank, pumping stations, and emergency flooding areas as well as remediation of defects of existing surface water network.

This project covers different areas of Doha, Daayen, Rayyan municipalities. Figure 1 shows the location of these areas:
